From December 2012 to November 2013 I worked within the Scottish Government as an embedded designer on the second phase of the Learner Journey Project.
The aim of my role was to trial a new approach to public service delivery; understanding how a design approach can benefit public service delivery. I worked closely with learners, educators and other stakeholders to develop a new service to help learners navigate their way through the learning landscape. It was a really interesting, but quite challenging, year!
As part of this role I helped facilitate one of the first Scottish Government hack weekends, the Learner Journey Data Jam.
